Almost there… new fly line delivered the other day at the Cabelas in Allen. Picked it up but this cold and the recent storms has yours truly sidetracked. Do hope to be fishing a pond sooner than later with the Cabelas CGR 2wt Fiberglass Rod and Orvis Hyrdos SL1 soon!

Put in at Lake Lavon’s Lavonia South Ramp for some kayak fishing. Plan was to catch a few fish for a soup recipe – specifically, yellow bass as well as anything else that was legal size! Went with Nightcrawlers and caught a few, then caught a few more bottom bouncing slab and jig rigs! Do check back for the soup recipe and the next day’s trip kayak fishing Clear Lake Park on Lavon!

Enjoyed a morning walk on a “Non-Labor Day”… like to use this term for today since we are not working today. While on the walk, checked out a pond and its feeder creek for any fish. Did not see any fish in the pond but noticed a number of Bluegill and Bass lurking in the feeder creek. No fishing this round; did get a couple of videos and posted them below!   On a walk today.
