YouTube Shorts | Trout Fishing | Corn vs Powerbait?

Image
More fun collating past trips into the YouTube Shorts video format. This one was a fun trip to a small pond stocked with trout. Decided to fish corn and Powerbait to see which bait the trout liked. Lesson learned… Bring both! Added it to the COAF Shorts playlist – check it out!

Windy Day But at Least Got a Work Out! #clearlakepark #lakelavon #kayakfishing

Posted the short snippet of a Gaspergou looking at our lure as we trolled while kayak fishing at Clear Lake Park on Lake Lavon. Fishing buddy caught a Catfish that went for a Slab with a Berkley Fish Gulp in shrimp flavor as a teaser. He also snagged a Gaspergou that was on a line that broke off. Your’s truly struck out; my mojo continues to be off! No worries, did get to see what was lurking below. Also, learned that the lower part of the water column was the area to concentrate on versus the top water bite. Hope to be ready next time… that is, once Clear Lake Park opens again. Road repairs in progress for the next few weeks!

Struck Out at Texoma...

Went kayak fishing at Lake Texoma today. Put in at Highport Marina and fished a rocky shoreline in hopes of Smallmouth Bass. Had caught them there before but it looks like things have changed. Luckily, was able to see what was lurking in the area… looks like Gar and Buffalo! Still editing the video but here are some snapshots from the Water Wolf Camera. Nice size Gar…! Gaspergou anyone?

Almost There... Water Wolf Camera!

This round of testing resulted in one Catfish caught, another lost while landing it. Did get another one but did not get video of it. All went for bread for bait! Working on one more mod to the camera rigging. We think the next test will show a better angle of the fish taking and/or playing with the bait. Hope to try it later today. So far, am pleased with the footage taken. Even got to see a Bass lurking in the pond. Did not know there were Bass in Celebration Park’s East Pond. Seeing a brief glimpse of one confirmed there is at least one there!
