Decided on the Panfish and Trout option because we have had good luck with the light weight lures that target panfish and trout…. and more important, can be used for Bait Finesse System aka ultralight baitcasting. Received a three month subscription to the Mystery Tackle Box! First box delivered. Let’s open it up and see what is inside! I chose the Panfish and Trout package as the last time I had a subscription there were some great lures that I consider perfect for BFS ultralight fishing!

Ordered on a whim from Amazon… Maximum Catch 10ft 2wt fly rod. Planned to mount the Orvis Hydros 2wt fly reel on it and use it in place of the TFO 9ft 6wt with the Echo Ion Reel just for fun…LOL. It’s a long rod at 10 feet, liking the blue finish, and wood reel seat. Not bad for $87… do feel some roughness on the rod tip area. Will see how it holds up. Do stay tuned for a follow up video once we fish with it in the near future!

Package arrived from Orvis. Ordered the Hydros SL1 Fly Reel that was on sale at a 60% discount! See video – https://youtu.be/rrtz25LxfQU for more details. Planned to mount it on the Cabelas 2wt CGR Fly Rod. Looks awesome… have a WF 2wt fly line that is delivering next week. Hope to try it out soon after it arrives. Cool looking reel, with a reel pouch to store it in and a tool to switch the retrieve from left to right and vice versa.
