Starting out with what we have on hand for the smallest hook – a size 22 dry fly hook. However, did place an order with TenkaraBum at TenkaraBum’s Store for micro fishing hooks in size 26 and size 30! More fun fly fishing ponds on the commute. This round it’s Crowley Park, Duck Creek, and Kroger Park! Crowley Park in Richardson yielded two Bass on an Indicator Fly. Lost the Wapsi Bream Getter to a Tree Fish! Duck Creek was a morning round that caught a few Sunfish, but did spy some nice Bass lurking by the bridge. Also, lost the Wapsi Bream Getter on the first cast. This was a new one we tied that morning. Finally, Kroger Park did well; able to fish the side of the pond that had been clobbered with greenery for weeks. Wind blew it to the other side! Took advantage and fished the clear bank and caught some decent Bass… using the Foam Damsel Fly. Tied another Wapsi Bream Getter but left at home…. no worries! Was still a great time!
