Reports so far indicate trout fishing is slow with the stockings on hold due to water quality. Keeping an ear out for any changes. For now, best to fish the upcoming stockings on the Blue River as well as Medicine Park.

 

Also, Pretty Water Lake near Tulsa is reporting Crappie are biting; they have heated docks to help brave the cold temps.  Plus a Trout Derby is planned in November; good to keep in mind when the trout bug strikes!

Kayak Fishing | Lake Lavon | Lavonia South Boat Ramp

Put in at Lake Lavon’s Lavonia South Ramp for some kayak fishing. Plan was to catch a few fish for a soup recipe – specifically, yellow bass as well as anything else that was legal size! Went with Nightcrawlers and caught a few, then caught a few more bottom bouncing slab and jig rigs! Do check back for the soup recipe and the next day’s trip kayak fishing Clear Lake Park on Lavon!

Another round at Bethany Lakes Sunday. Limited out using Gold Super Dupers and Gold Kastmasters. Then, did some catch and release fishing with the Switch Rod. Trout went for a Olive Near Deere, Guadalupana, and a Krystal Dub Minnow! Fish wanted a fast retrieve; did get a lot of missed strikes and trout nipping our lures/fishing flies!   Gold Kastmaster used today!
