Pond Fly Fishing for Bass and Bluegill #maxcatch #tenkara

Fished Bethany Lakes Friday morning with the MaxCatch Discount Switch Rod and the Foam Grasshopper. Caught a Bass and lost a Bass.

Returned in the evening and caught Bluegill and a Bass using a Damsel Fly as well as a Foam Grasshopper!

Opted for the Tenkara Rod for the evening fishing round. Fun Stuff!

Liked the EmmRod Kayak King for fishing the local pond for Catfish. Very convenient to carry around or keep in the little pickup truck. Ordered the Fly Rod, arrived yesterday but was not able to fish it till today. Had to make a run to Fort Worth, so brought the EmmRod Fly Rod and several Near Deere fishing flies just in case we had a chance at fishing today. Was able to fish with it on the Trinity River in Fort Worth. Water was high with lots of flow from recent rains. Did manage to catch a few Longear Perch and Sunfish! Looks like the fly rod will be made readily available for more side trips while on the commute home from the day job!

Makes for ease of reference by allowing Readers to quickly see when the next trout stocking is planned. The big schools of females have made their push up most creeks last week and the week before, and with this rain a lot of hybrids will show up as well. Before I got there Keith was already at 103 Magnum Sandies. Took me less than 45 minutes to put 25 fat female mags on the stringer. The tent caterpillars are out now. Every 30 seconds one would drop on us. When we walk around and stop we would look at our shirts and we do have 10 or so crawling on us. More Kayak Fishing at Texoma... #kayakfishing

Cooler temps this morning but did make the run to Texoma and put in a Spillway Ramp. Had one school pass and was able to catch one Striper. Later, worked a school of shad and was able to catch a Gaspergou. All was quiet, trolling, jigging, and sight casting but no more schools breaking the surface like the other two trips. However, did get one more Striper while casting to point. Still working on the video; will get it out in the next few days.
