Mixing things up and starting a video snippet series to give Viewers a sense of the fishing addiction that has plagued us for many years… this one is called “One More Trout”.

Took a spill one Winter while fishing, needed one more Trout to make a limit, temps were above freezing so had to go for one more…

PS: Had the car heater blasting on high on the trip home luckily.

More fun fly fishing ponds on the commute. This round it’s Crowley Park, Duck Creek, and Kroger Park! Crowley Park in Richardson yielded two Bass on an Indicator Fly. Lost the Wapsi Bream Getter to a Tree Fish! Duck Creek was a morning round that caught a few Sunfish, but did spy some nice Bass lurking by the bridge. Also, lost the Wapsi Bream Getter on the first cast. This was a new one we tied that morning. Finally, Kroger Park did well; able to fish the side of the pond that had been clobbered with greenery for weeks. Wind blew it to the other side! Took advantage and fished the clear bank and caught some decent Bass… using the Foam Damsel Fly. Tied another Wapsi Bream Getter but left at home…. no worries! Was still a great time!

More info on Possum Kingdom! With the lake full and the flow good we caught almost trout till July this year up by the dam. Many had put on serious weight hope the lake stays full again this year.
