Fishing the "Flats" at Bethany! #foamgrasshopper

Quick trip to Bethany Lakes this evening. Opted for the Foam Grasshopper again. Tried White in size 16, and Yellow and Green in size 10. Bass seemed to prefer the larger size; had several Bass follow the smaller size grasshopper but none sealed the deal with a strike. No worries… did get five to take the size 10 grasshoppers. Here is a snippet of the action!

Kayak Fishing | Lake Lavon | Lavonia South Boat Ramp

Put in at Lake Lavon’s Lavonia South Ramp for some kayak fishing. Plan was to catch a few fish for a soup recipe – specifically, yellow bass as well as anything else that was legal size! Went with Nightcrawlers and caught a few, then caught a few more bottom bouncing slab and jig rigs! Do check back for the soup recipe and the next day’s trip kayak fishing Clear Lake Park on Lavon!

Another round at Bethany Lakes Sunday. Limited out using Gold Super Dupers and Gold Kastmasters. Then, did some catch and release fishing with the Switch Rod. Trout went for a Olive Near Deere, Guadalupana, and a Krystal Dub Minnow! Fish wanted a fast retrieve; did get a lot of missed strikes and trout nipping our lures/fishing flies!   Gold Kastmaster used today!
