Snow delay is not slowing us down. Worked on the wine cork handle for the next Micro Fly Rod. Finished shaping and fitting it on to the Ice Fishing Rod Blank. Letting the epoxy dry, and then it’s the next step… Rod Guides or is it the Reel Seat? No worries… till the next step!

Quick Tie - Sabiki Fly #coaffieldteam

Here is another quick tie fly tying demo but with a twist. This is a pattern that uses foil wrappers used for Bevita Cookies, Frito Lays Chips, etc. It’s a simple tie and is rigged sabiki style. We have used it using surf casting gear on our local lake for White Bass.We have also used it trolling with our fly rods while kayak fishing. Saturday Switch Rod Practice at Bethany Lakes.... #switchrod

Decided to get a round of Switch Rod casting practice at Bethany Lakes this morning. Missed two Bass but did get two Bass. Lots of fun especially getting distance casts using the one-handed style we like. One Bass went for a Clouser Minnow; the other Bass went for an Olive Near Deere. The two Bass we missed went for the Clouser Minnow.
