Fishing with the EmmRod... First Cast, First Fish! #emmrod

On a whim bought an EmmRod in their Kayak King Spinning Rod model to use for kayak fishing. Put the order in while on a cruise last week. Rod arrived while we were having fun in the sun and ocean.

On our return, rigged up an old spinning reel that we managed to get working again… 30+ year old reel, and then mounted it on the EmmRod.

Took it to a local pond and free-lined bread “mashed” around a circle hook. After about 15″ caught a nice Catfish!

Not bad for the first cast, first fish on the little rod. Cannot wait to try it kayak fishing!

More info on Possum Kingdom! With the lake full and the flow good we caught almost trout till July this year up by the dam. Many had put on serious weight hope the lake stays full again this year.
