Fly Tying This Evening.... Midges Anyone? #flytying

No fishing this evening. But, doing fishing related things works. This time fly tying midges for the 2017-2018 Trout Stocking Season! Blue River gets stocked soon… best bet is to stock up the fly box! (PS: Added past videos of trips to the Blue below).

Kayak Fishing | Lake Lavon | Lavonia South Boat Ramp

Put in at Lake Lavon’s Lavonia South Ramp for some kayak fishing. Plan was to catch a few fish for a soup recipe – specifically, yellow bass as well as anything else that was legal size! Went with Nightcrawlers and caught a few, then caught a few more bottom bouncing slab and jig rigs! Do check back for the soup recipe and the next day’s trip kayak fishing Clear Lake Park on Lavon!

Another round at Bethany Lakes Sunday. Limited out using Gold Super Dupers and Gold Kastmasters. Then, did some catch and release fishing with the Switch Rod. Trout went for a Olive Near Deere, Guadalupana, and a Krystal Dub Minnow! Fish wanted a fast retrieve; did get a lot of missed strikes and trout nipping our lures/fishing flies!   Gold Kastmaster used today!
