Blue River Put and Take Fishing... First Report of the Season!

Fished the Blue today 3 hours without hardly a bite. And then they stocked it around 3 and I had my limit in about an hour. I caught them on spinners and power bait, 5 were on the small size, one decent. Released back in good condition.

Put in at Lake Lavon’s Lavonia South Ramp for some kayak fishing. Plan was to catch a few fish for a soup recipe – specifically, yellow bass as well as anything else that was legal size! Went with Nightcrawlers and caught a few, then caught a few more bottom bouncing slab and jig rigs! Do check back for the soup recipe and the next day’s trip kayak fishing Clear Lake Park on Lavon!

Another round at Bethany Lakes Sunday. Limited out using Gold Super Dupers and Gold Kastmasters. Then, did some catch and release fishing with the Switch Rod. Trout went for a Olive Near Deere, Guadalupana, and a Krystal Dub Minnow! Fish wanted a fast retrieve; did get a lot of missed strikes and trout nipping our lures/fishing flies!   Gold Kastmaster used today!
