Caught a Shellcracker, then Back to the Lake!

Caught a Shellcracker Saturday morning on a PMC Emerger at Bethany Lakes, then got a call from our fishing buddy to load the jon boat and do some jug lining for Catfish. Hit Lavon and wound up catching four Catfish.

Also found the Yellow Bass were lurking near the boat ramp. Went back Sunday with Ultralight Gear and Nightcrawlers and fun catching them, too. Videos in the works; more to come!

Micro Fly Rod Fishing at Kroger Pond this evening. Bite was good on little Bass and Bluegill. Foam Grasshopper in Size 16 worked well, but ended up losing the fishing fly to a “Tree Fish”! Switched to a Tenkara Fly and was able to continue to hook up with the little Bass and Bluegill. Kayak Fishing | Lake Lavon | Lavonia South Boat Ramp

Put in at Lake Lavon’s Lavonia South Ramp for some kayak fishing. Plan was to catch a few fish for a soup recipe – specifically, yellow bass as well as anything else that was legal size! Went with Nightcrawlers and caught a few, then caught a few more bottom bouncing slab and jig rigs! Do check back for the soup recipe and the next day’s trip kayak fishing Clear Lake Park on Lavon!

Short on time this morning. Got a round in though at Bethany Lakes. Saw a few folks hooking up with Trout; however, for this fisherman, it was three strikes of which two were missed, and one that did not… only one Rainbow Trout this time!
