Cold Morning at Bethany... "Green Trout Anyone" #flyfishing

The “illusive Green Trout”

Was going for Rainbow Trout at Bethany Lakes this morning but was not able to catch any. Did catch a Shellcracker and two Bass aka “Green Trout”!

Caught the fish using an Olive Near Deere. Did get two Trout to strike a Griffith’s Gnat but was not able to set the hook fast enough.

Trout were in the pond and were actively feeding on the surface after about 8AM. However, wind and cold as well as the well positioned trees to hinder a back cast made it hard to cast where the fish were lurking.

Cold morning but still had fun!
